Key Features Implemented:
- Simple, intuitive interface for allowing users to add aircraft, locations, modification types, modification time slots, and the modifications required for each aircraft
- Automatic assignment of numeric priorities to aircraft based on aircraft location (overseas or domestic), number of modifications required, and user specified priorities of the different modification types; Aircraft scheduling order generated based on overall priority score but can be overridden
- Ability to "force fit" an aircraft to a particular modification time slot regardless of priority
- Automatic scheduling of aircraft based on scheduling order and available modification time slots; Intelligent scheduling algorithm accounts for travel time needed by aircraft to reach modification sites and does not schedule an aircraft for a modification if it cannot reach a site on time due to an ongoing modification
- Ability to generate one "master" or working schedule and multiple alternate schedules based on different user configurations; Schedules can be saved and exported to MS Excel and MS Project
- Extensive reporting capabilities in both MS Access and MS Excel format
